We aim to do series of articles on the impact of the upcoming UK trade deals with larger countries. Countries like India with big manufacturering supply side capacity and the affect these trade deals will have on the UK micromobility market.

What The Micromobility News predicts is the massive growth of battery mopeds of indian origin finally being sold and riden legally on the UK roads.

Brands include OLA whose recently built factory aims to produce over 10 million electric moped a year to be produce in 2022. Becoming the world's largest manufacturing plant for two-wheelers in the process.

The only way OlA can do this is through successful free trade deals around the world resulting in free access to the micromobility markets of the respective countries or blocks.

The UK will in return want access to the huge Indian food sector.

The UK's Micromobility industry is full of European and global players with few domesitic manufacturers.

It will be an quite straight forward for the UK negotiators to grant access.

India is projected to become the world's third largest economy by 2050, and a trade deal will open huge opportunities for UK businesses to trade with India's GBP 2 trillion economy.
