A Nottingham e-scooter survey finds the majority of the public want them gone after trial, despite never using one.

A survey has found that most of Nottinghamshire Live readers want Nottingham's electric scooter trails to cease and the E scooters gone.

75 per cent of those questioned wanted the yellow scooters off Nottingham's streets.

According to Nottingham Live around 3000 people filled out the survey, though most of whom (88 per cent) had never used the public use electric scooters.

The issues cited what they saw as dangerous riding of E scooters (43%), inconsiderate parking of E scooters (24%) and the impact this was having on people with disabilities (13%).

The Nottingham E Scooter trial has not been popular as been one of the most well used in the country. With the e-scooters used for 3,000 journeys per day by more than 2,000 people. October 2020 it began, Nottingham's e-scooters been on more than 850,000 journeys, with over 35,000 registered users and over 1.3 million miles travelled.
