A video showing e-scooter on fire with passengers gasping for air on the london underground network has brought questions as their viablilty as safe objects on the tube.

In the video, Passengers can be heard coughing and gasping for air as smoke raises from the E scooter, escaping out of the the carriages onto the station.

While E scooters and micro mobility movement is inherantly indiviual and generally undermine the transport union's power. The trade unions naturally have waded in to say that E scooters should be taken off the network.

Tube worker unions say they have been warning TfL about the dangers of e-scooters across the network but have not seen any action being taken. While these fires have been rare and small. The unions want to see them banned. Further reducing the role of micro mobility movement in the capital.
